BEHOLD! i found the name of the camera. its "Trust Spotlight Pro Webcam". Beware, theres a similar camera that has a silver circle in the front, and the top part is also silver. DONT BUY THAT ONE. i just got it and the infrared lens isnt removable. EDIT: i had ordered 2 of the ones with the silver parts. and weirdly, the second one DOES have the removable infrared lens. So you can take a chance with it but its a bit of a gamble. Will give one more update when I actually get the "trust spotlight" to confirm it has the removable infrared lens.

this circuit you have done here is exactly how mu gate lock on my elecronic gate is wired up, positive to lock and switch a neg throught the mosfet, it has a blown mosfet on the board, I am trying to learn how to fix it, thanks

wow that's so janky. I mean it's awesome, but you should rather glue a piece of metal plate to the membrane, cut the wire from the terminal and solder it to the plate, and let the screw touch that, as the wire will wear out rather quickly. also install a lock nut on the screw so the vibration won't mess up the adjustment. also, wouldn't using a relay work better? not to mention, much more reliable? just an idea
